TAG: EXPERIENCE

It's the end of an era. From 2001 to 2019, I have been set on this journey to discover and learn how this insane and massive world works from many mentors and instructors to new people who would eventually become my longtime friends. It's very much a nostalgic feeling, reminiscing on all of these fantastic experiences that I have encountered while on this journey.

Looking at myself back then. Geez. It's been quite a while since I first picked up that pencil and began doodling. I surely have discussed this in the past, but if you are a first time reader and you have never heard this story; first off, welcome. You are in for a treat.

From students to faculty and staff, the Lawrence Herbert School of Communication filled with over 100 dedicated people preparing to cover the biggest event of November, the 2018 Midterm Elections. There was the sight of the complex mechanical cogs-and-gear operation, Hofstra Votes LIVE, the first ever live, multi-platform Election Night broadcast, simulcast from our news-based program, Hofstra Today and 88.7 FM WRHU Radio Hofstra University.

Ever since Nintendo released the original Legend of Zelda on the Nintendo Entertainment System to Japan back in 1986 and worldwide in 1987, the game revolutionized how video games approach the action-adventure genre and means of free exploration within a virtual fantasy world. Fast forward roughly 30 years later to 2017, Nintendo had once again revolutionized the action-adventure genre by allowing its revered fantasy series to bring back what it had lacked in such a long time, a sense of freedom.

First and foremost, I must strictly address that without attempting to be too political on the matter, this will only be a reflection on my experience participating in preparation for the event and nothing more. I wish not to offend anyone with varied thoughts and opinions on said event as I only want to show my gratitude toward those who gave me this wonderful opportunity. With that out of the way, all right. Let's get started!
